Aunt Shelly and his cousins had Noah laughing at the party and last night Aunt Denise was making Noah laugh so hard he had to catch his breath.
Noah is lucky to have such great Aunts, he is thankful his Auntie Denise came visited again so soon. :)

I still hope to add a picture this evening but here is a bonus video, taken today!
Please ignore the Blair Witch Project videography and my still getting over a cold voice.

January 28th Sleeping Noah
I almost forgot to take a picture today, so here's another one of him sleeping in his own unique way.
Stay tuned for a picture of Noah with his Aunt Denise tomorrow and a picture from his great-great Grandma's 90th birthday party on Sunday!

January 27th First "solids"
James and I have chosen to delay "solid" foods for Noah until he is around 6 months for a number of reasons. This 'delayed' start (all pediatricians recommend starting sometime between 4-6 months) allows his digestive system to become more mature, and hopefully his spitting up will have ceased by then (orange and green spit up? NO thank you!) In addition, rice cereal has essentially no nutritional value compared to breast milk, other than the iron it is fortified with - which is in his vitamins. So we see no need in filling up his tummy with anything other than the natural stuff for now.
BUT we decided to give him a tablespoon of organic rice cereal, mixed with breast milk, this evening after his bath. It is somewhat of a crutch to help get him used to the spoon and it makes for cute pictures. ;)
At first he did not care for it and was confused but then in true Noah style he began to like it. He smiled every time I made the airplane noise. Love.

January 25th Funny sleeper
The way Noah sleeps cracks me up; he either does his 'freeze' impression or has both hands very close to his face as seen here. (The room is totally dark and he is down for the night, only the flash makes it seem like it is daytime).
He is feeling better, I'm hoping he is sleeping the sickness away now - and the fact that he has been asleep since 4 doesn't mean he will be up all night....

January 24th Sick baby
Noah is definitely sick, poor little guy. We're keeping his fever down with Tylenol and trying to help ease his congestion and stuffiness as much as we can. His little sad, sick face with red eyes breaks my heart. I'm glad James is off this week so Daddy can help make him feel better during the morning while I'm at school. I hope he feels better soon!

January 23rd Walks
Noah isn't feeling well today, and he has been fighting sleep since he is stuffed up and over tired, so we took him for a walk to help him relax and go to sleep (it worked, yay!).
Today was the first time he was in the full size stroller without being in the infant car seat.
The third picture is of his very first walk when he was just a few days old.

January 21st Ladies Man
Noah had a play date today with 3 lovely young ladies. As always, he was content just hanging out, watching Jaylin and Maddison crawl and stand. He was pretty jealous of Brianna's mad sitting skills but he tried not to show it. He did a good job of playing hard to get; the ladies came crawling to check out his awesome hair and have a nibble on his Sophie the Giraffe.
I failed to get a picture because I didn't realize the camera battery was still at home in the charger, so today I can only share his fantastic "Hello Ladies" shirt that his Auntie Tish gave him.
This is his "Hey, how YOU doin?!" look:
p.s. they say it takes 21 days to make a habit stick, so yay for day 21 of the blog!

January 20th Noah is 5 months old!
To show his growth:
(Check out the weight gain between months 1 & 2, yikes!!)
This first one is just too funny not to share...
and the second one is such a cute picture of him in his room.
He is growing up too fast, slow down little Noah!

January 19th Noah the good student
Noah enjoys his 'learning time.' In addition to using baby sign language throughout the day (right now we are just using the signs for 'milk' and 'diaper,') Noah and I also read stories and sing songs. His favorite books are Elmo is So Big and Brown Bear, Brown Bear. He really likes the Itsy Bitsy Spider and he thinks the ABC song is hilarious for some reason.

January 17th Silly Noah
Noah had a bit of a poop'splosion today so after I cleaned him up I let him have some 'naked' time, he had fun with it, rolling from back to tummy and back again.
He kept putting his hands in his mouth (still trying to get that tooth out!) while I was trying to get a smile picture, so I held them down in the last one and that was the 'smile' he gave me. Silly Noah. :)

January 15th Baseball cutie
We went to James' tournament today. Noah wore Giants gear to be in the softball spirit.

January 14th Noah's First Haircut
A before picture, note the crazy long hair around his ears and his 'bangs'.
(I had this shirt made for James for Father's Day last year. It says Step 1: crawl, Step 2: walk Step 3: baseball)
After:
His haircut is SO cute. His hair is so much lighter now, it's like a reddish blonde. He was such a good boy for his haircut, he didn't make a peep. He was just checking everything out.

Hair cut pictures:
My wonderful friend Nicole was Noah's stylist. I claim to be Nicole's first client - she colored my hair from box color in high school - so it was extra special for me to see her cut his hair.
