April 13th Noah in high def!

Well, not really. More like high resolution I guess but OH. MY. GOODNESS. I have a new love. And her name is Canon Rebel. It is fueling my picture addiction; I haven't put it down since it came in the mail today. Maybe I should parlay this new addiction into a productive side job (anyone need an amateur photographer?? lol) before Noah ends up with 50 billion pictures.

I am very, very pleased with the camera's ability to take quality pictures right out of the box. I mean, you can see the thread in the silk of Noah's lovie when you click on the picture, you can see Noah's boogies LOL and there's ridiculous detail on Chloe's nose. I'm very impressed.
I promise not to have this many pictures every day....I may or may not have my fingers crossed behind my back right now....

April 11th Noah says teething

is no fun.

This first picture cracks me up because he has his leg hanging off the side of the chair, like a teenager does. He's also using his sippy cup as a teether in it.

On a happier note, I realized that yesterday was the 100th day of the blog!! Wow, time flies!

April 10th Grandma Lawana's Birthday

We celebrated Grandma Lawana's birthday tonight.
Noah was bothered by his teeth earlier in the day but he pepped right up when we sat down to play and have dessert.

I thought for sure we would wake up to teeth this morning, last night Noah cried some pretty convincing tears letting us know his gums h-u-r-t! Poor guy.

April 9th Sweet boy

I had planned on taking a picture of Noah in the Red Robbin high chair but he was so sleepy we just let him hang out in his car seat. Even when tired and not in the best of moods Noah will still always have a smile for his Daddy. Such a sweet boy.

April 8th Noah the "swimmer"

Noah was super squirmy on his play mat tonight, doing lots of rolls back and forth. He also started doing some pretty impressive "supermans" and reaching for the balls that would pop out of his train. He totally looked like he was trying to swim to get to them. Crawling may not be too far off after all..?


The stinker gave me more squinty smiles in anticipation of the flash but I was also able to capture some real ones. Future Mr. Right indeed!

April 7th Noah's 0-6 Month Movie

April 6th What a stinker!

Sooooo I think Noah is revolting against my picture addiction.
Everytime I tried to take his picture while he was eating his pears and oatmeal he would smile and squint his eyes shut. What a stinker!! :)

April 5th Noah the cuddler

Noah was wide awake in the middle of the night last night. But he was so happy and cuddly that I didn't even mind it. I just pulled him into bed with me and enjoyed the snuggles. He was talking, smiling, patting my face and squeezing my hands for what felt like an hour. I know the day will come when I will miss his soft baby snuggles so I'm going to take any chance I get. Even if it is during the wee hours of the morning.

April 4th who whooo

I think this Owl hat is ADORABLE but James....does not....Too bad. It was purchased online and I'm not going to ship it back. :)

~*~*~*~ Speaking of fun purchases, I am very, very excited to say that I will be getting a new camera in the near future. Thanks in large part to the very generous birthday monies I was given by Papa Jim and Nama Barb and Grandma and Papa Ray and our cashed in change jar. I've been wanting a 'big girl' camera for years now and I am proud to say I will be the happy new owner of a Canon Rebel XS sometime this week. Hopefully the adjustment period won't be that long, from the extensive research I have done it is the most beginning photographer friendly DSLR camera.

So expect some professional looking changes to the blog pretty soon! I am SO excited. I anticipate some lost sleep scouring the user manual and online how-to guides! ;)

April 3rd Noah the foodie

~Noah did a new trick today, as I was carrying my breakfast plate to the counter Noah looked at it from in the jumper across the room, opened his mouth and said, "ahh" like he does when he is waiting for a spoonful. Too cute.

~We took lunch to Daddy at work today. James was apparently very excited. lol

~Noah watched his very first movie today! Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who, he was mesmerized, but we only got through about half when Daddy got home and changed it to the Giants game. We'll watch the rest tomorrow. I love that book, such a great message: "A person is a person, no matter how small."

~Noah had peas (Gerber) for the first time today, I was shocked to see he didn't hate them, he ate the whole little tub. I thought they were disgusting. Noah is becoming quite the little sitter, if you click on the picture to make it bigger you can see his tongue poking out hehe.

April 2nd Cuties

Noah's Auntie, cousins, and I took a stroll after lunch today. Noah was still at the table with Grandma. I forgot to take a picture of the three cousins, boooo.

Noah sure looked cute in his tie, but note to self, those size "6-12 months" jeans need to be retired, they were super tight and short on him, yikes!

April 1st We're expecting!

The real April Fool is me for failing to take a picture today. Sad face.


Noah played an April Fool's joke of his own by napping for a total of one hour today (he usually naps for around four) which resulted in him going down for the night at 7:30 today. Fingers crossed this doesn't mean a rough night ahead.
We've been tracking Noah's sleeping and napping patterns for the last few days, I really need to help him get onto a consistent schedule. I've read both Dr. Ferber's Cry It Out method and the No Cry Sleep Solution (which I'm leaning much more towards, I just can't stomach the thought of him crying unnecessarily) and both say consistency is key. Noah has been anything but consistent lately...
