'Finger' Painting

I thought I'd let Noah explore finger painting today, at least the cleaner, paint inside a bag version. At first we tried just taping the bag to his highchair but he kept picking up the bag.

So then we taped the bag to a piece of cardboard. He thought the paint was alright...

But he REALLY got a kick out of using the cardboard and paint bag as a dance floor.

He did his signature tap dance jig all over it for a good long time. Ah well, he enjoyed himself. Painting will just have to wait until he's a little older. :)

Auntie Denise's Visit!

We had a wonderful weekend with the whole Derby side of the family; Auntie Denise was here to visit! We played at Grandma's house, had lots of yummy food, played at the park, and spent two great days getting to hang out and visit.

Mmmm Apples

Noah is the pickiest eater ever lately. One day he loves something, and then the next he won't even look at it. It's very hard to get him to eat much of anything these days, he was digging this apple slice today, though.

Dump Trucks and Dirt

Noah and Daddy played outside today while I took some pictures of Connor in the old Tonka dump truck James was given on his third birthday. Noah wanted to get in on the Tonka truck action when he came inside. I think I have a lot of dirt/grass stains in my future ;)

Trains and snuggles

Noah had fun playing with his trains this evening.



And we enjoyed a family snuggle before bed time. I love my three boys!

Bonus video Walking down the step

Last night Noah made it clear he wanted to practice going down the step into the family room. He currently will stop in front of it, go down on his hands and knees, turn around and back down the step. But last night he reached for my hand and tried to step down (which always resulted in a laughing fall). He was so proud of himself! :) He would give a high five and then clap with such a big smile on his face. This was one of the last attempts so it wasn't as enthusiastic but he must have done it at least 10 times. Funny kiddo!

February 14th Happy Valentine's Day!

James built a photography backdrop stand for me today and Noah thought it was his own personal jungle gym.

So we took the boys to the park so Noah could play on a real jungle gym:)


I had a wonderful day with my three Valentines. I sure am lucky to have such wonderful and handsome guys in my life!

February 13th Co-pilots

Noah likes having a co-pilot in the back seat. It's pretty crazy to see two car seats back there. We pretty much have a two seater car now, but that's ok, there's no other passengers more important than these two!

February 12th Four cousins!

The Derbys came over today to meet Connor. Noah loved playing with Amber and Jenna. Grandma and Grandpa loved seeing all four of their Grandchildren together. :)

February 11th Daily life

We're getting into a nice routine, our little family of four. Noah still doesn't have much interest in his little brother. Noah thinks sleeping and eating isn't that entertaining I guess :) But he does like to point to him and say 'baby' which is super cute.



"Here brother, let me turn up your swing for you, it will be much more fun!"

February 9th Meeting little brother

Nama Barb brought Noah to the hospital to visit us after Connor was born. He seemed a little intimidated by how many people were looking at him so he didn't have much of a response. He sure looked like a big boy after seeing his teeny little brother :)

February 8th Little brother is on his way!

We had a wonderful day today, our last day as a family of three. Dinner at Strings, ice cream and a trip to Barnes and Noble. We picked out a cute little book called "I'm a New Big Brother" and read it to Noah before putting him to bed. We told him that in the morning he would come see Mommy and Daddy and his new baby brother at the hospital.

February 7th I'm getting a little brother the day after tomorrow!

How cute are those smiles! Noah's favorite thing to do these days is to dance around saying "dog dog dog dog dog dog dog dog." He copied it from his big cousin Amber and it absolutely cracks him up. I need to get it on video.



The other thing he loves to do is roll his cars on anything and everything while saying "brrrrmmmm". Here he is rolling his Cobra on my knee:

February 6th Hair cut

Noah thinks its great fun to walk/run on the couch.

Daddy's 6 week long paternity leave started today, Noah is going to love having Daddy around so much! Connor seems very eager to arrive, but if he doesn't show up on his own he'll be encouraged this Thursday the 9th! Ahhhh only two more days of being an 'only' child little man!

February 2nd Pizza and playground

We went to Skipolini's Pizza tonight for their "preggo pizza" (heart burn on a plate!!) and Noah had some good old playground fun.



Papa Ray even got in on the action! :)
