December 31st Happy New Year!

First day of the year and last day of the year:

What a difference a year makes!

2011 was quite a year for us, its been amazing to watch our little man grow. We are looking forward to meeting the newest member of our family in just 6 short weeks and seeing what 2012 has in store for us. We'd like to wish everyone a healthy and happy new year!!

I didn't quite meet the 365 challenge, came up about 20 posts short but all in all I'm very glad I did the blog. I plan on continuing it, but not daily. I'm hoping for 3 or 4 times a week to keep up with his growth and fun new learning developments.

I'm definitely going to do a blog for Connor's first year of life, I'll post a link once he makes his arrival :)

December 30th Silly boy!

Noah has been chewing on anything and everything today. His molars are definitely bugging him.

I kept turning my head to the side and saying "boo" from behind the camera to try to get a smile from him, silly boy mocks me by turning his head and smiling and saying "buh!" LOL He is getting so much personality. Love him.

December 29 Daddy's Little Helper

We've begun the lovely process of moving. Our current house had a built in unit for our TV so the new house needs a TV stand. Noah was Daddy's little helper putting it together.

December 28th Bubbles!

Noah loves his new bath toy! He even got mad when it was time to shut it off and get out of the tub. He sure knows how to say "bubble" clearly, its so cute!

December 27th Kitchen fun

A friend generously handed down this play kitchen to Noah today. He has lots of fun pushing the buttons (that make noise) and opening and closing the oven, fridge and microwave. I really like it because it matches the table he already had and it gets him to stand a lot and walk back and forth between the kitchen and table. I'm hoping it will help him become more comfortable and confident with walking. :)

Noah is enjoying watching one of the new movies he got for Christmas, while Mommy and Daddy are packing. We'll be moving in just 3 short weeks!

December 25th Merry Christmas!

"Santa brought me socks Mom?"

"Whoa! Wall-E!!"

"I love this movie!"

"Bubble!" "Bubble!" "Bubble!!"

After opening our gifts from Santa we went and spent Christmas day with Papa Jim and Nama Barb.

December 24th Christmas Eve

Cute cousins in their Christmas jammies!! :)

We had a wonderful day with yummy food and lots and lots of presents. Noah didn't quite get the concept of opening them and I think he was a bit overwhelmed, but he enjoyed buzzing around getting into lots of stuff!

December 23rd Future gamer?

Noah grabbed Daddy's play station controller today and looked so cute holding it while watching a movie. Mommy has been baking up a storm the last couple of days so Noah has had a little more TV time than I'd like to admit, but luckily we'll be enjoying the next couple of days spending time with family and celebrating Christmas which means lots of fun play time!
I'm so looking forward to experiencing Christmas through Noah's eyes this year, and I hope to get lots of great pictures!

December 21st Christmas with Grandma Lawana

We had dinner with Grandma Lawana, Great Grandma Virginia and James' Aunt Margaret who is visiting from Southern California. Noah was a little cranky because he was tired (he woke up unusually early and had a very early nap) but we still had a nice evening together.

December 20th Happy 16 Months!

"Up up up"

Noah is a pro at saying 'up' now. It's pretty darn cute. He has also said "nigh nigh" a few times now when I asked him if he wanted to go to bed or take a nap.

He still isn't walking on his own yet, although he did walk from our bedroom to the living room while holding my fingers this afternoon.

December 17th Little helper

Noah helped me wrap presents today, I had to give him his own paper to play with after he decided to open a present for Grandma. He sat there playing with the paper for a while. His Christmas PJs are so cute!

Noah gave you a head start Grandma!

But how can you get mad at a face like that?? Kisses!

December 16th Bubble head

Noah had a fun bubble bath tonight.

He also did some good walking today and said 'up' very clearly three times.

Baby brother Connor is due in exactly two months!

December 14th Cute kiddo

Noah has had quite the outgoing personality these past few days. Today he crawled up onto one of Grandma's kitchen chairs and then up on the table. Grandma found him just sitting there, browsing the sale ads.
Last night we went out for dinner and the restaurant's phone rang. Noah immediately put his hand up to his ear and said, "hiiii" which made James and I laugh so hard. I'm surprised he even knows about that because we don't have a land line and our cell phones have weird rings, not regular ring ring noises. Maybe a phone rings in one of the Disney movies or shows he watches.
He has also added a new word to his vocabulary, 'baby' which is super clear and super cute. But he uses it to describe lots of things, not just babies so we'll have to work on that.

December 13th Bonus train video

Again, this is actually from November 29th but I wanted to add it to the blog.

Right in the beginning of the video you can see how much Noah was digging the train but then he saw that I saw filming so he got all serious. Stinker.

(We strapped him in his high chair for a minute so he could see the whole thing in action without knocking it off the track.)

December 13th Daddy's childhood train set

So I'm technically cheating with this post, since these pictures were taken on November 29th. But I some how didn't post them and I didn't have a picture for yesterday, so they are my substitute. When James pulled the boxes of Christmas decorations down from the attic, he also pulled down the electric train set he had while growing up. Noah thought it was VERY cool. But he doesn't know the meaning of gentle yet and was being pretty rough with the pieces. I know James got a kick out of setting up the track and was pleased to see that it still works! :)

The dogs didn't quite know what to think of it.
