February 28th Part III Random month end wrap up

At the end of every month, I transfer our pictures from our camera to the monthly folder on our computer and back them up on an external hard drive....
I took 336 pictures of Noah in February alone. Yikes! I think I need picture takers anonymous.

After watching Noah over night, Grandma Linda texted me with "boy I don't know what you guys did to get such a good boy, he is so sweet." Which made me laugh, and it is so true, we sure do have a sweet boy!

In addition to this blog, James and I also write in Noah's "like" book nightly. It is a journal type book that allows us to jot notes about what we love about Noah, it is silly and fun (example entries "I like the awkward positions you sleep in," "I like the way you shake your fists when you get excited," and James' "I like your oddly long butt crack" LOL) but some are also extremely sweet and I will treasure forever. My favorites of James' are:
"I like the way you make Mommy so happy." And,
"I thought life was good until we had you, then I found out it's awesome." Love.

Goodbye February, bring on March!

February 28th Part II Great Grandma's house

We went to dinner at Great Grandma Dalton's house tonight. I love this picture of Noah and Virginia.

Papa Jim even stopped by! Noah loves hanging out with family.

February 28th Part I Snuggles

James and Noah (and Chloe!) had some quality snuggle time on the guest bed today.
Noah is such a sweet boy.

February 27th Jumping bean

Noah loved jumping at Grandma and Papa Ray's house so much that he became a jumping bean over night!
He now tries to 'jump' while I'm changing his clothes, changing his diaper, or even when he is just sitting in his bouncy chair.
So I pulled his Jumper out of his closet this evening.

He thought the toys on it were fascinating.

Jumping at our house isn't as easy as it is at Grandma and Papa's, Noah was slipping and sliding all over the hard wood floor, so I tried putting one of his play mat squares under his feet to give him more traction.

But his feetie jammies were still too slippery, so then we tried naked jumping. That seemed to work a little bit better, Noah was able to get more traction with bare feet.

Noah also laughed at Chloe (our dog) for the first time today. She was being playful, shaking her head back and forth while she had a stuffed soccer ball in her mouth. He was watching her the whole time and when I would say "Chloe get it!" he would laugh, still staring at her. It was super cute, and of course Chloe loved the attention.

February 26th First sleep over!

Noah had his very first sleep over at Grandma and Papa Ray's today!
James had to work and I went to Nicole's bachelorette party in SF.
Noah was a very good boy, and he only needed a bottle once during the night. He loved jumping with Papa, playing with Kylie and cuddling with Grandma. He also had his first experience with a Johnny Jumpup, he loved it! I should pull his out of the closet.
Mommy missed him very much, but the 24 hours I was away from him was a good test run for Mexico next month. And the 7 straight hours of sleep I got was really nice. :)

Both Papa Ray and Papa Jim thought this picture was hilarious. What a naughty stinker ;)
Don't worry Papa, I know you didn't teach him any new tricks, he's been flipping the bird for months now! See:

Thanks Papa for taking these great pictures for the blog!
And Noah says thank you for taking good care of me Grandma and Papa!!

February 25th Aunt Andrea

James' sister Andrea is visiting from Texas, Noah loved meeting her. He can't wait to hear all the dirt she has on his Daddy! lol

Tonight he'll be surrounding by lovely ladies at Nicole's bridal shower. He loves when the ladies fuss over him. ;)

February 24th Noah at the Doctor's

Noah is still very congested, but thankfully the doctor doesn't think it's more than just a cold.

His 6 month stats: 26 inches, 18 lbs 8oz. He is between the 25th and 50th% for height and in the 75% for weight. The doctor guesstimated that Noah will be around 5'9" based on our heights but I'm still hoping he'll catch a good growth spurt. James said the doctor thought he would be around 5'9'' but he is 6' so maybe Noah will follow in his Daddy's tall footsteps.

Look at that tummy!

February 23rd Noah's bibs

Noah has like 25 bibs, no really, he needs at least 4 or 5 a day since he spits up so often.
The newest one makes me crack up, it says, "Hop To It (I'm hungry)." hehehe

February 22nd Noah loves the outdoors

We went for a family walk today, being out in the sunshine was so nice.
Noah is feeling better, he woke up every two hours last night but as least he wasn't upset, he just wanted to eat and then he was back out again. He napped well today too. Hopefully he will be as good as new for our picture appointment tomorrow afternoon.

February 21st Congested baby

Poor Noah became super congested yesterday and last night we had the toughest night we've ever had. Our usual tricks; the nose spray and nasal aspirator, humidifier, running the hot shower, and walking and bouncing him were not enough to help calm him down. When he would drift off to sleep in our arms he would quickly wake up because his nose was too stuffy to breath. Fortunately both James and I were off today so we were able to get family naps in throughout the morning.
We were going to have his 6 months pictures taken today, hopefully Noah will be feeling better enough to go after school tomorrow.
On a positive note, it is insanely cute to hear James hum Take Me Out to the Ball Game while rocking Noah. And apparently Noah has learned a new trick:

February 20th Noah is 6 months old!

Six months ago we met our little man, time has gone by so quickly. It feels like just yesterday we were counting down the days until he would be here. He has brightened our lives and brought a new level of love into our hearts. Happy Half Birthday Noah bear! We love you!

Papa Jim and Nama Barb took us to breakfast this morning, Noah talked up a storm before our food came.

February 18th Day with Daddy

Noah and Daddy got to spend lots of time together today, because Mommy had a very busy day. I had school, a dr appointment, dinner with my good friends (and I found out a friend is pregnant and due on Noah's birthday! So exciting!!) and then I helped Tish get ready for Jaylin's birthday party tomorrow. Noah is so excited for the party! Check back tomorrow for some super cute baby birthday pictures.

February 17th Big(ger) bed

We moved Noah out of the bassinet and into his pack and play last night. He has more room this way (and is no longer exceeding the weight limit like he was in the bassinet). It made me a little sad to move him, he isn't right next to my bed anymore, and he is getting to be such a big boy! But he only woke up once last night so it will be great if this helps him sleep better.

February 16th Noah through Papa's camera

When I was picking up Noah from Grandma and Papa Ray's house this afternoon I stopped to let Noah see Grandma's Tickle Me Elmo. Papa grabbed his camera, zoomed in from across the kitchen and took this picture. Such a sweet expression on his face. Noah loves Elmo.
And Noah loves getting to hang out with Grandma and Papa a few days a week!

~Today is the 50th post!!!~
Wahoo! I should have some sort of giveaway to celebrate. Hmmm...I have some drooly unwashed bibs lying around, or lots of home made sweet potatoes, Noah hugs are always good but you'd have to be present to win those.
Eh, instead how about another picture!

Noah celebrated our 50th post by watching another episode of Mickey's Club House.
(Not very festive, I know, but he likes telling Mikey how to problem solve; he's a good critical thinker.)

February 14th Happy Valentines Day

There was no school today, so I had a great day with my little Valentine! We got lots of snuggles in, made a Valentine's Day card for Dad with Noah's hand prints on it and Noah found a new love - the TV show Mickey Mouse's Club House.

He sat staring at Mickey and friends for a solid half hour. Mouth hanging open and all.

I gave my little man a special Valentine, the book Elmo's Valentine.
He was so stinking cute when I read it to him, he got excited EVERY time I turned the page.
This is a video I took of me reading it to him the third time in a row, I love how he lifts his head to see the book when I put it down to turn the page.

I adore my little man, true love.
